Jamestown, NY, to Bowling Green, OH

Tuesday, September 11

Due to a few busy days, there hasn't been any activity on the blog, but the Cannonball never sleeps. Monday's stage was canceled due to the incoming rain and severe(ish) weather inbound from the East coast. Erik was a little disappointed not to be riding, even with all the rain we encountered on the drive. However,  there were a few teams that expressed their relief about the day's ride being called, namely the teams with the early, belt drive bikes.
Today's stage went well for support and drivers, apart from a suitcase roller malfunction this morning- quickly rectified with a trip to the store for a replacement. I had an uneventful drive between the two cities down I-90. The landscape was rather unremarkable, but upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by a parking lot already full of bikes coming to attend the parc ferme at the adjacent Buffalo Wild Wings. Now to get ready to do it all again tomorrow, hopefully without any further complications.

Some Class 2 bikes at the official start, Portland, ME

p.s.- Look forward to more pictures soon- I haven't had a chance to get them all off the camera.
